IMMUNIZATION POLICY

Immunization is a key component of maintaining a healthy camp. By doing so, we align ourselves with School Boards and Health Canada. As such we request that all campers and staff at camp have received ALL mandatory immunizations which are as follow: Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Pertussis, Tetanus, Diphtheria, Polio, Meningococcal C Conjugate and Chicken Pox. If, for whatever reason, you have elected NOT to have your child(ren) vaccinated, we ask that you notify us at your earliest convenience. It is our obligation to protect the health of your child and those from the broader community that may interact with our camp population.

In the unlikely event that a case of measles (or any other disease targeted by a Health Canada vaccination program) is discovered at camp, unvaccinated children will be sent home for the recommended period of isolation (i.e. measels-21 days) without any fee adjustment. We trust that our approach places your child(ren)’s health and safety as a major priority at Camp Maple Leaf.
